Motor City Brew Tours - 2 Day Bike Tour - August 9-10, 2014

Bike to breweries in West Michigan. We offer a fully SAG supported 2 day bike tour from brewery to brewery in West Michigan. Bike 25-35 miles on Michigan roads and rail trails per day. Finish each riding day with a brewery tour, Michigan beer, great food and a hotel room all included in the ticket. We are biking from the Northwest side of Grand Rapids on the Fred Meijer trail extension and along the Musketawa rail trail and down to Grand Haven. On Sunday, we bike along the Lakeshore connector path all the way to Holland! Saturday night we have hotel accommodations at the beautiful Holiday Inn in Spring Lake. That evening, we will shuttle you over to a winery/cidery for dinner in Spring Lake and have options to visit a brewery in Grand Haven (right across the street from the hotel). Sunday we will finish the bike ride at a brewery in Holland and shuttle you back to your car in the Walker (NW Grand Rapids). This bike ride is fully supported with a SAG vehicle along the way for repairs and for transportation back from Holland to Walker (NW Grand Rapids) on Sunday.

Who are you guys? We run Motor City Brew Tours and Motor City Bike & Brew Tours in Detroit. We have been taking folks to Michigan breweries since 2009. We look forward to expanding our business into longer distance Bike Tours. Learn more about us at: http://MotorCityBrewTours.com

What is included on the bike tour? Ticket includes bike tour guides, SAG support van and luggage transfer throughout the ride. Saturday includes: lunch, hotel stay at a 3 star hotel and dinner w/beer flight and brewery/cidery tour. Sunday includes: breakfast, lunch w/beer flight and brewery tour and transportation back to your vehicle from Holland to Walker (NW Grand Rapids) on Sunday.

What is not included in the bike tour? Bike. Hotel stay in Grand Rapids on Friday. Any additional beverages you decide to purchase.

Where do we start the bike tour from and where should we stay in Grand Rapids? We will email all attendees the logistics, start location in Grand Rapids and Friday hotel suggestions prior to the ride in August.

Do I get to drink alcohol during the bike tour? This is a bike tour to breweries and not a drinking tour. We reward your day of exercise with a beer flight or pint at the end of the ride on each day. We support responsible biking and do not encourage drinking during our bike tours, but have no problem rewarding it at the end of the tour!

How many tickets are available per bike tour? We limit the tickets to 20 people. We feel this size of group is ideal for guided group bike ride. Come out and ride with some like minded folks!

Can I handle this ride? How fast will you ride? After we did this ride last year, we learned that folks wanted to all ride together. We will break riders into 2 riding groups based on their ability. We will average speeds of 12-13 MPH and 15-16 MPH. If you are more of a beginner rider, then 12-13 is a your group! Experienced riders, we will decide as a group the preferred pace.

B.Y.O.B. (Bring Your Own Bike): Please note that bikes and helmets are NOT included in the ticket price. For your safety, helmets are mandatory!

What happens if I need to cancel? Reservation Fees received by Motor City Brew Tours Brew Tours are non-refundable and not transferable to other events. If you are unable to attend an event, tour tickets can be transferred to another guest. Motor City Brew Tours reserves the right to cancel a tour. Should this occur, your reservation fee will be transferable toward another event or fully refunded.

How old do I have to be to attend an event? Since our tours will involve alcohol, we only offer our tours to adults aged 21 and over. Please bring your State Identification or driver's license to present to your tour guide upon arrival. Michigan Brew Tours follows all state of Michigan liquor/consumption laws.
